Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my money going?
To bringing in some world-class teachers, to give you a chance to learn from the best!
Do I need a partner?
No, we’ll be rotating partners, so you’ll have a chance to practice with many other dancers. However, if you do have a preferred partner, you can choose to do the workshop with just them.
Are the (lead/follow) dance roles restricted to people of a particular gender?
Not at all, many of our dancers here in Kingston love to dance both roles. So you’re free to participate in the workshops in whatever role you wish, regardless of how you identify.
How much experience do I need for the workshops?
You should have some knowledge of the basics of west coast swing. Come ‘swing’ by our regular Thursdays or send us an email if you aren’t sure. If you want to bring a friend who’s brand new, we’ll be running a quick intro lesson before the dance.
I’m coming from out of town, can housing be provided?
Please use our contact form to request housing for the night. Please add “WCWW Housing” in the Subject line and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
